Let’s Play Catch Up!

Last year in 2010, GMR Skateboards was launched. After having met in the 2009 racing season Fred Baumann and Mischo Erban partnered up together to produce high quality downhill skateboards. The primary objective was to create strong drop thru skateboards worthy of the finest race tracks around the world. Prototypes were used in 2010 by Mischo Erban to test a variety of concepts joining wood and aluminum together.

This combination gives the racing drop thru its strength and stiffness throughout the whole board, even in areas such as the neck where most boards suffer. At the end of the 2010 season all the boards upheld their performance but utmost simplicity and elegance directed the final product of the externally mounted aluminum spine.
